Another one finished in Wells this week
Our customers in this case had a spray foam insulation installed between the rafters in their attic. As much as this is nice for the winter, unfortunately this blocked all ventilation in the roof. This caused the roof to sweat and mould occurred on the bedroom walls as a result. Given the condition of the underlay, they decided to go ahead with new felt and battens to be installed over counter-battens to save the hassle and mess of removing all of the insulation. We created new vent gaps at the ridge, including a dry-fix ridge system which provides adequate ventilation along with vented soffit boards.
We also carried out a new GRP roof installation since that was in a pretty poor state too.
All in all, a lovely job all round, very enjoyable and another happy customer.
